Sunday, November 15th, 2009I was involved recently, in a conversation with a homeowner who contended that she did not want exposed river rock on the top of her proposed hand excavated french drain installation, because it would show any future home buyers that the home had a groundwater problem.
I explained that home sellers who do not disclose former or present groundwater problems and installed groundwater solutions, are putting themselves at risk legally under state law, and that it was not ethical as well.
Write earnest money agreements with repair clauses to protect yourself
