What is it with this b.s. waterproofing guarantee some companies spout so much about?

All these companies do is dig around in your crawl space, and leave sump pumps and a mess with plastic stuff behind, without preventing any groundwater entry into the crawl space what so ever.

What does that sump pump guys guarantee really cover? Do you know?
